Assessment Process
At Albus Minds, we believe that clarity begins with understanding.
Here’s how our step-by-step assessment process works:
Initial Inquiry
Connect with our intake team to share your concerns and ask any questions you may have. We’ll guide you through the process and help determine if a full assessment is the right fit.
Duration: 25-minute free call
Initial Consultation with the Psychologist
In this 90-minute session (virtual or in-person), the psychologist gathers detailed information, explores your concerns, discusses your goals, and sets an assessment plan.
Not ready to commit? You can also book a 30 or 60-minute consultation to explore your options.
A service contract will be sent for review and signature once you’re ready to proceed.
Assessment Testing Sessions
The assessment typically takes place over 2 to 3 sessions, each lasting 2 to 3 hours, and is usually conducted in person.
Testing is carried out by the psychologist and/or a psychometrist and may include:
- Cognitive and academic testing
- Behavioral and emotional assessments
- Observations and standardized tools tailored to your needs
Scoring & Interpretation
The data is analyzed, and other relevant findings are collected. Results are interpreted to create a clear report. With your consent, we may also consult with external professionals or specialists to provide a more comprehensive understanding.
Feedback Session
In this 90-minute session (virtual or in-person), the psychologist walks you through the findings, answers your questions, and offers some practical recommendations. Diagnosis, if any, is communicated during this session.
Final Report
You will receive a thorough written report outlining the test results, clinical insights, and a roadmap of recommendations to support learning, development, and well-being.
Follow up
If you’re referred to us through one of our affiliated clinics and you are working with their therapist, we provide ongoing consultation with them free of charge to support your care.
Timeline & Fees
The complete assessment process—including testing, meetings, scoring, and interpretation—takes approximately 12 to 14 hours in total.
Flat rate: $3,500 CAD for a full psychological or psychoeducational assessment.
For assessment excluding the academic aspect we deduct $750 CAD from the total fees.
